Tour onboarding:
go live in a clear sequence

This checklist is designed for tour operators. Follow the steps in order to avoid rework and to make sure bookings, payments, and operations work smoothly.

Step-by-step checklist
  1. Define your tours (names, durations, meeting points, inclusions/exclusions).
  2. Create departures (daily/weekly/seasonal) and set capacity per departure.
  3. Set pricing (adult/child/concession, groups, private tours) and cancellation rules.
  4. Enable checkout (online payment, confirmation emails, receipts).
  5. Enable QR tickets (issue QR codes and prepare validation/check-in).
  6. Operational setup (passenger manifests, staff roles, run-sheet process).
  7. Go live (publish booking links, add to website, start taking bookings).
  8. Improve conversion (photos, reviews, upsells, vouchers, abandoned booking follow-up).
What’s within your control vs. what isn’t
  • Within your control: tour data quality, departures, pricing, policies, and how quickly you respond to setup questions.
  • Within AddTransit control: platform setup, validation, booking flow, and operational tools.
  • Outside control: third-party onboarding timelines (e.g., app stores, map/journey platforms) and external review processes.
Fastest path to live
  • Have your timetable/departures ready
  • Confirm pricing + policies
  • Provide meeting points + pickup rules
  • Decide how you will validate tickets

SETUP-AS-A-SERVICE

Onboarding FAQ

If your departures and pricing are ready, you can often go live quickly. Complex schedules or messy source data can take longer.
Yes. Setup-as-a-Service is available if you want speed or you prefer not to do the setup yourself.
That’s fine. Many operators use OTAs for discovery while building direct bookings as the core profit channel.
